I’m frustrated

Would like to buy but Windows TRIAL won't start!!

I've been using Ambiance (paid version) on iOS for years, and now I want to use it on my Windows PC. But, after clicking "start trial" the screen is still greyed-out, allowing no input. I will buy the Windows version, but not if the trial won't even run! (Don't ask me to reinstall as you did to another with this issue. It solves nothing! It's Windows 10 by the way).

We can't reproduce this error you are seeing. Trying a reinstallation does indeed help for many people, so please try that first. Also ensure you have the most up-to-date versions of Adobe Air and Flash installed on your PC.

  • I had already checked on the Adobe components, though why Flash is being used at the end of its life is beyond me, and I reinstalled both Flash and Air - they are completely up to date (as they were initially). I also reinstalled Ambiance and this has made no difference.
I am certainly not a novice, having been a programmer since the good old z80/6502 days, and I can assure you the error resides with your software. It may well be simply the 'trial' authentication side of things, but you would need to send me a valid actual key to try to be able to discount or prove this.
I have a suspicion that it would work on my Windows 7 machines but haven't had the time to confirm this. All I know is that on Windows 10 pro PCs, with Flash and Air installed, it will not remove the 'greyed-out' overlay. I have been able to access some of the controls by enlarging the window just past the greyed-out portion, then it becomes clear and bright (the settings control for example is briefly usable). This suggests to me that the software is working fine, but not 'unlocking' for trial use (with Windows 10 anyway).
