Windows Phone 8 app

I look forward for Windows Phone 8 app. I think it is time. It is well progressing platform which desires such great apps like Ambiance. I sued to use iPhone and Ambiance like every day reading the books. I chose Nokia now. I love it. But I see that there is huge gap in mood apps. Ambiance would not have practically competition... Please. It is worth it.

    I’m happy to help
The market share numbers on Windows 8 devices are still quite low. None-the-less, we may consider bringing Ambiance over to Win 8. Thanks for the input.

  • Share of WP phones is considered from US perspective. EU market is covered with 10% per avarage. Most of EU countries cover more than 10% with peak in Italy - 17%. But the same time, Germany covers around 6%. As comparison, IOS covers 17% in EU as avarage.
US market is covered with barely 5%. Disproportion towards IOS and in near future Android in other regions will gradually increase, I am sure of. WP 8.1 in revamped form is flex and elegant and makes use kind on natural, like IOS used to. What would make shift is availability of well designed apps. Ecosystem is that what attracts or repells people from using WP.
India is over 5% and growing. China - basically Android and IOS. And I would not expect growth here...
Well, I can see Ambiance made for desktop, which I doubtful if truly used extensively... This app makes sense on mobile devices, letting people isolate from noises and talks while communiting, getting rest for a while in own world.

  • I wouldn't hold your breath. This company is so shamelessly invested in the Apple ecosystem that their PAID Android app is still incomplete with no update for over two years.
    • The iOS app has not been updated in over 2 years either, so let's drop the android fan boy crap, shall we? Get your facts straight before spouting false information.
    • Ah, but the key difference is that the paid iPhone version is a finished product that has seen several updates (granted, 2012 inexplicably being the last), whereas the paid Android version has remained incomplete from the start. I can still run Ambiance flawlessly on my ancient iPhone 3G, but some flagship Android phones still experience sound gaps - not to mention "coming soon" (ha) placeholders where the backup/restore and recorder functions should be. To me, that's inexcusable after two years.

  • Looking at current Win desktop app (Adobe air based) and open options - at least in theory, possibility of creating app for desktop and phone and tablet in Win 10, I think it is suficient case to go for... I tested desktop program and it is highly unreliable...
But honsetly - app for IOS is neither. After updates with IOS 8, it crashes and often does not play sound at all... It is a while since last large update of Ambiance.
    • That's really frustrating. It just seems like the developers don't care enough - which is a shame, considering they have a well-received, potentially-quality product. It's all so strange, because overall, they seem generally open and responsive to questions and comments in the iPhone and desktop forums here. Nevertheless, it's well past time for a major update on all platforms.
