Recent update causes crashing with Mixes.
Since the last update Ambiance repeatedly crashes, especially with Mixes. Mixes also skip noticebly when played reducing the audial quality signifacntly.

Crashes when alarm goes off. Cannot get rid of notification. Redesign of UI sucks! This was my favorite app. With the upgrade I am now looking for a replacement.

Hi Tara, there is a new version, 3.0.1 (notice the "point 1") that is in the store now. This update has fixed the bug that caused many of the 3.0 issues. Please update and try again.

Ok, I ended up having to restore my iTouch to factory settings and redownload the iTunes software. Currently I am using version 4.0 and thus far Ambiance has not crashed, nor have the sounds been skipping in my mixes. I don't know about the alarm. Thank you for your support.

I'm using version 3.0.1, and the app keeps crashing whenever I try to play a sound. Very sad.

In iTunes, after plugging in your iPhone, you will want to select it on the left side. Once selected there will be many tabs that show up in the main part of the screen (Summary, Info, Music, Etc...). There is one there called "Apps". You will want to select apps and a listing of your installed apps will appear, along with screenshots of your device. In the bottom section of this "Apps" page, you will find a "File Sharing" part. Here, Ambiance will be listed and when you select Ambiance, you can then drag your backup file into the small window that appears next to Ambiance.

Unfortunately, despite my positive reults earlier, Ambiance still seems to have trouble with loading the sounds and periodically crashes; even with the most current version.

I had an even worse problem - the app wouldn't start at all, but merely display the loading screen for a few seconds before crashing back to the home page.
I've tried deleting and re-installing and now it appears to work fine. However, I cannot work out how to upload my backup files. I have tried to follow the instructions given above. But in iTunes, on the "Apps" tab for my iPod Touch, there simply is no "file sharing" section at all. Nothing like it. I've got the list of installed apps (past and present) on the left. I've got shots of my home screens on the right. There is nothing below them apart from the visual representation of what's occupying my device's memory.
I'm running iTunes 9.2.0.61 on Vista. My device is a first generation iPod Touch running 3.1.3. And I've got Ambiance 3.0.1.-
Hi Tara. On version 3.1.3 of the OS, iTunes file sharing is not possible thus this method of restore is not going to be supported. Good news, however, is that the new version (yet to be approved by Apple, 3.0.2) will allow restore using a special link in an email. So, keep your backup file, and when 3.0.2 comes out, you can send it to me and I will email you a link. You will open this link on your iPod Touch and Ambiance will handle the rest, importing your sounds. We apologize for any inconvenience until then.

I have version 3.0.2 of Ambiance. Constant crashes whenever I try to play a sound. Deleted app and reinstalled. Lost all sound files. Downloaded some new ones, but app keeps crashing whenever I click on a sound to play or attempt to go straight to the player. Love this app, but this is very frustrating. I have checked all settings within Ambiance and cannot find anything that appears to create a conflict. Even tried shutting off push notifications. No change. Any ideas would be helpful.

Hi Brian. First, you can restore your Ambiance sounds using the restore function on your device. We cannot duplicate your issue so if you could please contact support@urbanapps.com, we can work with your individual case in a private forum

The new update is horrible! I've never had such crashing for the past year of using the old version! I'm using the 3.0.1, and it's just awful. It doesn't reliably mix my itunes music (audiobooks, actually) anymore, and often the first sound I chose to listen to ends up sputtering and skipping and I have to choose a different sound. Sometimes I have to start the app several times, and end up having to reboot my phone just to get it to run, then it now takes me about 15 minutes to get settled into a sound that plays and also playing my audio book to fall asleep. I'm actively looking for a replacement for Ambiance, since this recent update took my favorite app and turned into a buggy mess. Sorry guys, but you really blew it with this "update."

Hi - The most recent version is 3.0.2. If you still experience crashes after that, it is possible your database has been corrupted. A simple delete and re-download from iTunes App Store will solve your problems. You can even restore your sounds from an ambiance backup as well.

I deleted my old version, and reinstalled, not once but twice. I didn't restore any sounds, but downloaded a few, just to be sure to be starting fresh. With each redownload, once I had configured the app and closed it, then gone to my ipod to select where I was in my audiobook, then back to the app, it would crash upon opening. I rebooted my iphone multiple times, and then repeated the entire sequence (deleting, choosing 1 star as a rating, and then reinstalling) twice. Currently, the app will not even open. I have an iphone 3. Any other brilliant suggestions, now that the update to 3.0.2 has rendered the app completely useless?

I am frustrated with an app that was simple and useful that has undergone complete redesign, complications, and with the latest update, Ambiane does nothing more than continually displaying "Loading..." even in a good wireless and 3G environment on the iPad. I cannot begin to describe how disgusted I have become with the app. It is so unusable now.

It's crashing constantly on my iPod Touch 4G. When I tap play on a sound, it starts to play then crashes.

I bought this app and it worked great for one night not it crashes as I try to open it. When you say to delete it and reinstall does that mean you have to pay again?! Unfortunately I no longer have a computer so updating it thru iTunes is not an option? What should I do?

You will never have to pay twice for n iTunes app that you paid for already. If you go through the motions of "purchasing" a second time, you will not be charged and iTunes will let you know this.
