I’m frustrated

Desktop version should also search user recordings

Since there hasn't been a backup for the desktop version of Ambiance, I just take screenshots so I can re-download and set up my mixes. However, I'm noticing that the search option will not return results from the user "Recordings" category. I can search on the iPhone and get those results just fine, but not of the desktop. To further test, I have picked several recordings at random from "What's New," What's Hot," and "Top Rated" and searched for those names to no avail; so it looks like an issue for the entire "Recordings" category not being included in search results.

    I’m happy to help
    Hi Michael,

Good sleuthing! Yes you are correct, the desktop version does not include recordings in the searches. This was originally by design as we didn't want people to be confused in the original source of the recording. Recording is not a feature in the desktop app and we didn't think is was obvious enough which sounds were Ambiance sounds, and which were Recorded sounds. We *might* add this in the future if there is enough demand though... I will change this "Problem" to an "Idea" so that others can voice their interest.

    Thanks,
    Matt

I agree that making recordings not searchable by default is a good idea, however, we should have the option to search them if we want (a big reason I downloaded this app is to get a couple of great recordings I made).
